In a series of tweets by Fayose’s Special Adviser on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the Ekiti State Governor has admitted having N300 million in one of Zenith Bank accounts with number 9013074033.
According to Governor Ayodele Fayose, he had declared the money in his asset declaration form.
“I declared in my assets declaration form that I had N300 million in my fixed deposit account in Zenith Bank #Fayose Speaks,” Olayinka tweeted.
He was however reacting to the allegation posed at him by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that he deposited the money in April 2015, six months after he had become governor.
